Corrections deputy fired after allegedly engaging in sexual misconduct at jail

A corrections deputy, Roicey Trahan, has been fired after allegedly engaging in sexual misconduct at the Vermilion Parish Correctional Center. The sheriff's office received a complaint from an inmate alleging sexual misconduct involving Trahan and an internal investigation was conducted. After being terminated, Trahan was released on bond from the jail. The deputy has served at the correctional center since 2014 and has previously served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army National Guard.
