Reward Increased As Authorities Seek Montco Man In Son's Death

The reward for finding Vernon Hatchett, known as Khaliyl Ward, in connection with the death of his son, 21-year-old Tylim, has been increased to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of Hatchet, who has been on the run for 15 months. An arrest warrant was issued for him on Dec. 31, 2024, when he was charged with two first-degree felony counts of Neglect of Care Dependent Person Resulting in Death, Abuse of Care Determined Person, and Conspiracy to Commit Involuntary Manslaughter related to Tylim's death. The criminal investigation found that Tylim had been left alone for most of the time leading up to his death without food or medications.
