North Carolina's former Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, who was accused in a 2024 CNN investigative report of making disturbing comments on a pornography website, has admitted that there is some truth to the allegations. He initially denied the allegations at the time but changed his stance on them, stating that he felt compelled to deny them during his 2024 gubernatorial campaign. Robinson also addressed his pornography obsession and expressed his support for slavery, calling civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. a racial slur, and calling himself a "black NAZI" and a "perv." He later sued the news company for $50 million, but later dropped the case. Robinson served as lieutenant governor of North Carolina from 2021 to 2025. He was the first Black man to hold the position.
