Toronto Tempo’s 1st WNBA game is no thing of beauty, but sellout crowd finds plenty to cheer

The Toronto Tempo played their first WNBA game, losing to the Washington Mystics 68-65, disappointing a sellout crowd of 8,210 at Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto. The Tempo's coach, Sandy Brondello, praised the crowd and the team's performance, despite not being the prettiest in the game. The team finished the night on a 5-for-25 from 3-point range and 10 assists on 17 baskets. The other WNBA expansion team, the Portland Fire, is set to play its inaugural game against the Chicago Sky.
