Prosecution of Comey ‘makes no sense:’ Tillis

Republican Sen. Thom Tillis (N.C.) has expressed reservations about the prosecution of former FBI Director James Comey, who was indicted for allegedly threatening President Donald Trump. The sole evidence against Comey is a photo he posted to Instagram of seashells with the number 86-47. Tillis, who once worked in the restaurant industry, stated that the phrase '86' has its origins in restaurant slang and there is no evidence where it is used as a call for violence. On Tuesday, Comey denied the charges and vowed to fight them.
