Trump Fires Presidio Board of Trustees Following Last Year’s Executive Order

President Donald Trump has fired all six members of the Presidio Trust's board, all Biden appointees, following his executive order last year that stated that it would be terminated if necessary. The Trust, a real estate management entity established by Congress in 1996, operates without annual congressional funding since 2013 and generates $182 million in revenue in 2024 and contributes more than $1.1 billion in value to the national park. The firings come as the Trust CEO Jean Fraser announced plans to step down with a search for her successor already underway. Pelosi expressed disappointment over the firings but maintained park's protections under federal law.
