The Mandalorian and Grogu, the first Star Wars film in seven years, is projected to bring in around $80 million domestically in its opening weekend, compared to $103 million over its own Memorial Day opening weekend. Despite this, the film's box office numbers are expected to be lower than that of Solo, which grossed $392.9 worldwide. The film, directed by Jon Favreau, stars Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver, is set to follow a new adventure with Pedro.
