The FBI has indicted 14 leaders in 'Operation Family Secrets' in an ongoing investigation into alleged organized crime activities in Chicago, including illegal gambling, loan-sharking, and some of the city's most notorious mob hits. The incident occurred in 1976 when Chicago Cubs center fielder Rick Monday successfully deflected an American flag from two men attempting to set it alight at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. The FBI named their investigation “Operation Family Secret” after five men, including Frank Calabrese Sr., Paul “the Indian” Schiro, James Marcello, James “The German” Schweihs, and Anthony “Twan” Doyle, found guilty on Sept. 11, 2007. The city's first horse-drawn streetcars were used in 1859 and the second deadliest train crash in 1946.
