The Bay Area is set to return to sunny, warm weather after a two-day interruption of rain and cold temperatures. The National Weather Service expects rain to be completely over the next few days, followed by a rebuilding of high pressure. This high-pressure bubble brought record heat in March, but this one is not expected to be particularly intense. Temperatures are expected to reach 80 degrees in the hottest places by the weekend, with Oakland and parts of the Peninsula potentially reaching 75 degrees and San Francisco reaching 70 in San Francisco. However, a lower-pressure trough is showing influence early in its development, potentially preventing any long potential heat wave.
