Temperatures are expected to reach 80 degrees in the hottest places by the weekend, with Oakland and parts of the Peninsula potentially reaching 75 degrees and San Francisco reaching 70 in San Francisco. However, a lower-pressure trough is showing influence early in its development, potentially preventing any long potential heat wave.
