The National Confectionery Sales Association (NCSA) has announced that Chicago's famous Magnificent Mile, known for its history as the "Candy Capital of the World," has been transformed into a high-end collection of live performance venues designed for magic. The Hand and the Eye, a high end collection of performance venues, will be run partly as a member's club and offer a retro evening out in the company of magicians and magic enthusiasts. The National Concessionery Association ( NCSA) also announced that Michigan Avenue will be the home of its new Candy Hall of Fame experience, set to open next summer at 830 N. Michigan. The NCSA has hired David Korins, the designer of both “Hamilton” on Broadway and “Hammer: The Exhibition” for the project. The article also notes that the National Concessionery Sales Agency (NCSO) has hired a conceptual designer, Janet TPlanet, who will be working with the experience designer Janet Tins, who is also working with Tins. The hope is that the Candy Hall will tell the story of Chicago's pivotal role in the manufacturing history of chocolate and sugary treats.
