California pedophile Israel Ceja, a 63-year-old pedophile who raped his underage step-daughter and got her pregnant, could be released from San Quentin State Prison under the controversial law signed by California Gov. Gavin Newsom's controversial elderly parole law, which grants freedom to old felons. This decision has sparked outrage among law enforcement officials across the state, with the Yolo County District Attorney's Office urging Gov. Newsom to reverse this decision. Ceja began molesting his step-girl after he married her mother in 1993 and began abusing her when she was just 11-years-old. He was convicted in 2000 of multiple counts of forcible rape, assault with a firearm, child endangerment, and lewd acts. The parole board recommended him for early release in January, stating he poses no risk to society if released. The law allows inmates 50 years or older and 60 years old to apply for early parole, or those who have served 25 years or more to be released after serving at least 25 years.
