Celina police are not pursuing a criminal investigation into a misconduct allegation against former head football coach and athletic director, Bill Elliott, following a report of criminal misconduct from an alleged incident in 1995. The Texas Education Agency has permanently revoked Elliott's educator certificate based on the allegation. The police confirmed that the allegation was provided to the TEA but not reported in 1995 and that they cannot pursue a criminal probe after reviewing the information and considering the statute of limitations. This comes after Elliott retired amid an investigation into his son, William "Caleb," who was accused of recording boys in the locker room.
