Henderson man accepts plea deal after fatally stabbing girlfriend

Maurice Vanderhall, a 28-year-old Henderson man, has accepted a plea deal with the Clark County District Attorney's office for second degree murder with a deadly weapon. He was arrested on Dec. 2 after admitting to killing his girlfriend, 26-year old Kennedi Oriti, at a condominium complex. The coroner found at least 20 stab wounds on Orit's body, some of which were defensive wounds. As part of the plea deal, Vanderhall faces a minimum of 10 years in prison and a maximum of 25 years or life.
