Nebraska Senate race candidate denies being a Ricketts 'plant'

Nebraska Democratic Party Senate candidate William Forbes has denied being a "plant" for Pete Ricketts. Forbes, who has previously voted for President Donald Trump and attended a Republican Party leadership event, claims he is a "real Democrat in the mold of JFK and Ben Nelson". His campaign accuses Ricketts of attempting to split votes against him and Osborn. The Nebraska Democratic Party has renounced Forbes' campaign, accusing him of meddling in primaries and undermining the democratic process. Osborn's candidacy was restored by the Nebraska Supreme Court earlier this month, citing a lack of intention to win the race. Forbes declined an interview with KETV but provided a statement defending his campaign.
