Iran has used social media as a key front in its two-month war against the United States, with comebacks, sarcastic insults, and AI-generated videos being used to undermine the U.S. position and President Trump. The videos and social media “clapbacks” posted on Iranian embassy accounts show Iran's grasp of American culture and provocative language. These posts also serve as a response to the Trump administration's social media campaign, which used videos glorifying attacks against Iran with video game montages and imagery that trivialized the costs of war. World Liberty Financial, the Trump family's cryptocurrency company, is suing billionaire investor Justin Sun for defamation after he accused the firm of improperly freezing his tokens. The company argues Sun engaged in a "campaign of defamatory statements" on social platform X.
