Legendary martial artist and action star Chuck Norris, known for his rugged and aggressive demeanor, climbed Lassen Peak in September, just months before his death. The feat was celebrated in an Instagram post by Norris, who had previously hiked the mountain and mentioned his wife, Gena O'Kelley, who grew up in the area. The difficulty of hiking the mountain is described as "strenuous" with a round-trip distance of five miles and up to five hours. Despite his sudden death, Norris remained composed even in death. He is survived by his wife and three children from previous relationships.
