Apple's new $599 entry-level laptop, the MacBook Neo, has been launched to appeal to more than just pros. The Mac Mini is another affordable option for $599, but requires separate monitors, keyboard, mouse, and mouse. However, the Mac Mini also offers more processing power and comes in a wide range of configurations. The MacBook Neo excels at the basics like browser browsing, multitasking across work software, and all the same iPhone integrations. The Mini can be upgraded to the M4 Pro chip for $1,399, double the price of the Mac Neo. Both are great options in 2026, but they're for different crowds.
