A driver and passenger are facing charges following a road rage incident in Hillsboro, which resulted in the death of a dog. Police were called to the scene at about 10:40 a.m. and found the suspect stopped near Northeast 15th Avenue and Sunrise Lane. The passenger allegedly had a gun and a large quantity of controlled substances. While police detained the passenger, the driver fled the scene and crashed through a neighborhood fence, killing the dog. The driver is facing charges of unlawful possession of a weapon and drug charges.
