S.F. progressive supervisor Jackie Fielder is under an "acute personal health crisis," having reportedly planned to resign from her office representing District 9. As of Saturday, Fielder had not resigned from her position. She is the only democratic socialist on the board and represents perhaps the most left-leaning district in the city. Some of her supporters are concerned about her potential departure from the Board of Supervisors, where she has been a leading progressive voice on a body that leans moderate. If she steps down after more than 14 months in office, she would need to submit a written resignation to the board's clerk, which she hasn't done so.
