The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Climate Prediction Center predicts that temperatures could exceed 100 degrees in parts of Southern California and the Southwest. The Inland Empire and the Central Valley are among the areas expected to see triple-digit temperatures. High pressure is expected to move into the region, resulting in a warming trend with drier weather for the remainder of the week and an increased heat risk for inland valleys and deserts. The Los Angeles area is forecasted for a sunny Mother’s Day with a high of 75 degrees.
