Australia's largest iron ore company, Fortescue, is planning to fast-track its diesel elimination plans at its home base in the Pilbara region. The move is part of the company's decarbonisation efforts to achieve "Real ​Zero" by 2030. The company plans to complete its green grid by the end of 2028, which includes 1.2 gigawatt of solar capacity, over 600 megawatt wind generation and 4-5 GW-hours of battery energy storage.
