UniCredit posts record quarterly profit as it kicks off Commerzbank bid

UniCredit has reported a record-breaking 16% increase in its net profit for January-March, reaching 3.2 billion euros ($3.7 billion), its highest quarterly result ever. The bank is now aiming for a total of 11 billion euros and is improving its outlook for the coming year.
