The Bromley sports centre in South London is set to undergo a £130 million revamp, with a new basketball court and aquatics hall, improved accessibility, and a revamped 15-hectare sports facility. The centre, which opened in 1964, has been a hub of health and wellbeing for south Londoners for over six decades and is historically significant. The £130m redevelopment will be overseen by Morgan Sindall Construction, the company behind Lambeth Town Hall’s 2018 renovation. The main 50m pool, which closed in 2020 due to large cracks, is expected to reopen in late 2028 and the stadium will be completed until 2030.
