Police are investigating the death of a newborn girl found inside an apartment in the city's Northern Liberties neighborhood. The infant was pronounced dead shortly after. Police believe the infant may have sustained puncture wounds. The woman's identity was not immediately disclosed. The Medical Examiner's Office is conducting a formal examination.
