A woman and her boyfriend, 29-year-old Cassandra Lange and 30-yr-old Joby Williams, are accused of murdering her mother and stepfather, Stephen Rehbein, and disposing of their bodies in a ravine. Deputies responded to a welfare check on April 8 after Rehpein failed to report to work. They found evidence indicating foul play and obtained a search warrant to identify vehicles belonging to Rehne. The suspects were eventually found in a vehicle traveling in the Corpus Christi area and are charged with capital murder.
