Letizia Mowinckel, the fashion scout to former first lady Jackie Kennedy, has passed away at the age of 105. She was instrumental in securing the pink Chanel suit worn by Jackie Kennedy on the day of her husband's assassination. Letizia, who was married to Italian-born journalist and American diplomat John W. Mowinkel, was born in Rome in 1920 and married her husband in 1947. She often hosted parties with Jackie, and the two women crossed paths several times throughout the years. Jackie enlisted Letiza to buy items from French fashion designers and send them to the White House discreetly, as she had seen backlash over her preference for designers outside of the United States. Despite the suit being stained with JFK's blood, Jackie continued wearing it even after the assassination.
