The Mississippi state House has passed a bill that bans the manufacture and sale of cell-cultured milk, and will also crack down on food products labelled as "meat" that are the opposite of real meat. This move is a significant victory for consumers and the traditional dairy industry. However, local farmers and raw milk producers are concerned about regulations and limited access to markets. The state is also cracking down on fake meat labels, which are one of my long-standing pet peeves.
