Purdue basketball player Braden Smith, known for his impressive college career, is aiming to break the NCAA record of more than 1,000 career assists with over 1,300. Despite this, Smith's primary goal is to win Purdue's first national championship. Smith, who has been instrumental in Purdue's success over the past 15 years, is also aiming for a national championship with the Boilermakers. He is currently Purdue's leading scorer at 14.9 points per game and second-most in the nation for the team, averaging 8.7 assists a game. Smith is currently the fifth player to reach 1,029 career assists in total, at 1.029 times.
