LA-based journalist Jesse Barron has secured a major book deal with Penguin imprint Riverhead for her upcoming book, "Transference," based on a true story about a hedge fund manager, Michael Pollack, who claimed his female psychologist manipulated him into an affair. The alleged affair lasted for a decade and Pollack paid the woman at the end of each session with "mistress money". The case against Pollack is still ongoing, and Barron has written a lengthy piece on the case.
