The Detroit Lions are preparing for a pivotal NFL draft week, with the team's primary needs being for offensive line and pass rush. The draft will begin at 8pm on Thursday in Pittsburgh. The Lions have nine picks, starting with the No. 17th in the first round. The team has also signed several players this year, including right tackle Larry Borom, center Cade Mays, and defensive end D.J. Wonnum. General manager Brad Holmes has stated that the team will prioritise long-term needs over immediate ones. The upcoming draft could determine whether All-Pro right tackle Penei Sewell will move to left tackle next season.
