Hazer's Auto and Truck Parts in West Fargo is expanding its innovative approach to its scrap business, having established a pool of workers in the Philippines as a response to a workforce shortage. The company is expanding this partnership to include additional foreign workers and is partnering with a tow company to transport vehicles and vehicle parts between West Fargo and Grand Forks. Daniel Hazer, who operates the business with his father, Duane, has stated that the company is still in business and has plans to buy cars out of Grand Rapids to make it a better market for car sales and parts delivery. Despite some questioning whether this approach is taking away American jobs, Hazer insists that it is only due to insufficient applicants.
