France defeated Colombia 3-1 in Landover, Maryland, marking their second consecutive CONMEBOL victory in the March international break. The victory was largely changed from the previous game against Brazil and showcased France's impressive squad depth. Desire Doue put France ahead in the first half and Marcus Thuram doubled the lead before the break. Doue then added another goal in the second half. Colombia's Jaminton Campaz scored a consolation goal. Despite the loss, France remains one of the favorites to win the 2026 men’s World Cup. The only concern is injury and form in central defense, with William Saliba and Dayot Upamecano needing to be fully fit for summer.
