The Strib Voices team of artists live-sketched the daily lives of immigrant business owners under the federal crackdown on immigration. The team visited immigrant-owned restaurants in Minneapolis, Minneapolis, St. Paul, and St. Louis, where many Minnesotans have gone to eat at these restaurants due to the crackdown. The group's drawings were inspired by tacos and sopes, goat and rice, dim sum, pho and kapoon. They focused on these businesses' daily struggles as Operation Metro Surge winds down, highlighting their daily struggles. The journalists and sketch artists hope these businesses will benefit from this patronage as they face months of lost income.
