The event was held at the restaurant on Peterboro Street and other businesses in the historic Chinatown Detroit district, where a $2.4 million upgrade is imminent. The celebration included Qigong, an ancient Chinese mind-body practice, a DJ, an artesian market, and a Lion Dance performance. The Year of the Year, which began on February 17, is expected to continue throughout the year.
