Munetaka Murakami has hit a home run in his fifth consecutive game, tying the White Sox franchise record. The home run, which was scored by Miguel Vargas, was the longest in the team's history of the season. This feat also marks the longest consecutive-game home run by an MLB rookie, with 13 consecutive attempts. Murakam's 10 home runs are the most in his first 24 MLB games.
