A mother of a 29-year-old son, "Earl," who started drinking and doing drugs at age 16, is concerned that his son, who has an MBA and is highly intelligent, may be selling drugs. She found out about her son's addiction when she discovered it just before he left for college and offered to send him to rehab, but he refused. He now lives in a different state but visits her every few months. She worries that when he leaves for the airport, he buys drugs in his carry-on bag. If he has the drugs on him, they could lead to an arrest. Meanwhile, a woman who passed her 10th anniversary at the hospital where she works was met with no cake, photo, certificate, or a surprise party planned for her.
