The Houston Energy Football team has been playing full‑tackle football for 26 years, winning national titles and providing a platform for women in a traditionally male dominated sport. The team, which was founded in 2000, includes mothers, daughters, married, single, and all ages. Players share a belief that women belong in sports and representation matters more than wins and losses. Head coach Brian Wiggins believes the team gives women an opportunity to do what they've wanted to do their whole life.
