Bam Adebayo, the Heat player, has responded to criticism of his 83-point performance in a recent game against the Wizards, which he claims is the second-highest output in NBA history. The player, who was able to get extra shots due to team fouling, has been compared to Kobe Bryant's 81-point 2006 game. Many, including former NBA All-Star Gordon Hayward, have argued that his effort was disrespectful to Bryant's legacy. Adbayo responded by saying he was not the only player to surpass Bryant and that he doesn't care about the controversy. He also defended his actions, stating that he had a chance to surpass greatness and that if he was close to it, it's the point of chasing it.
