The New York Mets have won two games in San Francisco, with the team scoring nine runs in a 9-0 victory over the San Francisco Giants, despite being without star slugger Juan Soto for the second game without him. The Mets have scored 17 runs in 17 innings without Soto, scoring 19 over the last two nights. Right-hander Clay Holmes shut out the Giants for seven innings, allowing only three hits and two walks, and striking out four in the win. The team's performance has been praised by manager Carlos Mendoza, who credits the team's success to their strong pitching and defense. Mark Vientos is currently hitting well, with a home run, three doubles, three RBI, four runs scored, and four walks.
