Rays loom over Hillsborough commission meeting

The Hillsborough Board of County Commissioners won't vote on a new Rays stadium at their meeting, but two key issues are expected to clarify the issue. Commissioner Joshua Wostal has proposed a motion to release all documents related to the proposed ballpark, while Commissioner Christine Miller has asked to investigate whether the county's half-cent tax can fund the project. The Tampa Sports Authority has commissioned two economic impact studies, but both have been unsuccessful due to lack of information from the team or changing designs. Wastal's motion would mandate the immediate release of the existing drafts of these studies and other information by 5pm.
