Taylen Blaylock, a safety and Atascosita graduate, participated in the hometown Texans' local prospect day. The day included meeting with coach DeMeco Ryans, position coaches, testing and medical exam. Blayock, the son of longtime trainer and former New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs running back Derrick Blaylocks, was an all-district selection and twice named the district special teams Most Valuable Player. He also returned seven punts-kickoffs for touchdowns and intercepted five passes. At Furman, he recorded 76 tackles last season with two interceptions and returned one for a touchdown.
