Vinyl sales in the United States surpassed $1 billion in 2025, according to the RIAA's annual year-end report. The report stated that overall vinyl sales grew by 9.3 percent year over year, with units sold rising from 43.4 million to 46.8 million. This is a significant increase from the previous year's decline in revenues for legacy listening formats like CDs and digital downloads. Despite concerns about vinyl becoming more expensive, the average price of a mint vinyl record grew 24 percent to $37.22 from 2020 to 2025. Meanwhile, there are now 106.5 million paid music streaming accounts in the U.S.
