This is Byrne's first Tony nomination for the role of Jane in Coward’s 1925 comedy, where she plays Jane, an upper-crust British woman who becomes increasingly intoxicated due to a steady stream of alcohol and lively back-and-forths with her friend Julia. The play has not been done for over 50 years on Broadway and is a comedic two-hander for two women. Byrne credits the play's writing for its unique portrayal of Jane and her return to Broadway as a true revival.
