Matthew Schuster, a 43-year-old testicular cancer survivor from Medford, Long Island, is set to compete in several aquatic events as Special Olympics New York comes to Massapequa’s Berner Middle School. Schuster has been involved in the games since childhood and has won gold in various events, including floor hockey, basketball, golf, and bocce. This year, he will swim with Team USA at the national games in Minnesota.
