The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has threatened to target American and Israeli universities across the Middle East in response to a reported attack on the Iran University of Science and Technology in Tehran. The IRGC has issued an ultimatum to the US government, stating that all Israeli and American universities located in the West Asia region would be legitimate targets until two universities are struck in retaliation for the destroyed Iranian universities. While the IRGC claims the strike against the university was unjustified, it has been reported that Iranian security forces have begun assembling in locations such as schools and universities to deter attacks.
