Virginia school earns national Special Olympics Unified Champion banner

A Fairfax County, Virginia, elementary school has been recognized for its commitment to inclusion and student leadership. The school is one of only three schools in the country selected for an in-person celebration this year. The recognition highlights the school's efforts to create an inclusive environment through Unified programming, which brings together students with disabilities and their peers. Additionally, Bush Hill has been named a Special Olympics Unified Champion School for the second time and was named to the 2025-26 ESPN Honor Roll.
