Jets add playing-making corner Nahshon Wright to revamped defense on one-year deal

The New York Jets have signed former Bears cornerback Nahshon Wright on a one-year contract worth up to $5.5 million. Wright had five interceptions and 11 pass breakups in 17 games last season for the Bears. The Jets desperately needed players with the ability to create turnovers. The 6-foot-4 Wright is expected to compete with Azareye’h Thomas to start opposite Brandon Stephens. The team has also signed several players in free agency, including All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and veteran linebacker Demario Davis.
