Plainview Students And Staff Honored For Saving Student's Life During Cardiac Arrest

The school's Cardiac Emergency Response Team (CERT) helped save a 6th-grade student from a cardiac arrest while in class. The school's nurses and two teachers performed lifesaving measures, while a staff member alerted authorities. The incident occurred during a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) drill. The board of education honored the students and staff for their actions at a ceremony.
