The National Weather Service in Texas has issued a warning that Central Texas will not receive any rain for the remainder of the month. The weather service predicts a brief dip in temperatures over the weekend, followed by a cold front bringing temperatures down to the 70s and low 80s, but high temperatures will return to the mid-90s by early next week. The NWS does not expect conditions to improve over the next three months due to warmer than normal weather. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, approximately 18.2 million Texas residents are living in areas of drought, which is up by.3% since last week.
