The "green" steel-making company, Boston Metal, has announced that it will not lay off its workforce in Woburn, Massachusetts, until April 21 due to an industrial accident at a larger plant in Brazil. However, the company has received funding to retain the employees for another 38 days. The company argues that the loss of access to capital will negatively impact the livelihoods of the workforce.
